Albany Police arrest Daquan Arrington in shooting on Second Avenue

The Albany Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a shooting in the 300 block of Second Avenue. APD reports that a 24-year-old Troy man has been charged in connection with the shooting that occurred on Second Avenue on May 26, 2024.

Around 7:25 p.m. on May 26, officers responded to the 300 block of Second Avenue for reports of a shooting. At the scene, officers found a vehicle that had been hit by gunfire. Two individuals were inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

APD reports that Daquan Arrington was identified as a suspect in the shooting. On Tuesday morning, Arrington was taken into custody by Albany Police Department detectives. APD says Arrington is also charged in connection to a stolen vehicle incident.

Arrington is charged with one count of Reckless Endangerment, one count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon, and one count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property.
