Alameda County Sheriff’s Office investigating after two people found shot in unincorporated San Leandro

Two people were found shot in unincorporated San Leandro on August 20. The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the double shooting. ACSO reports that Eden Township substation deputies responded to a residence in the 16000 block of Carolyn Street for a report of two people shot inside a home around 10:17 p.m. on August 20.

At the scene, deputies found a woman in her 30s suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Responding deputies also found an unresponsive man in his 40s suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

The second victim succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the scene. ACSO says the preliminary investigation indicates that the shooting was an isolated incident related to a domestic dispute.

Authorities do not believe there is a threat to the public. No other details are available.
