The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in a violent shooting that occurred on Monday. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division detectives charged 18-year-old Terrell N. Weeks with homicide in Monday’s shooting in Eastwood Meadows.

Weeks was taken into custody just after the shooting on two outstanding warrants for Possession of a Weapon or Ammo by a Delinquent Adult. The victim, who was identified as 24-year-old Tyren E. Certain, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
