The Pembroke Pines Police Department has announced that a man has been arrested as a suspect in possession of multiple images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material. According to a social media post from the Pembroke Pines Police Department, 21-year-old Douglas J. Chin was transported to the Broward County Jail and charged with multiple felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Authorities say they investigated a complaint received by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Chin was identified as a suspect in possession of multiple images and videos depicting child sexual abuse material.

The Pembroke Pines Police Department served a search warrant at Chin’s home for multiple electronic devices on December 13, 2023. PPPD said numerous images and videos of child pornography of children between the approximate ages of 3 and 14 were located.

Authorities say they determined that Chin was employed as a part-time after school care counselor at the Pembroke Pines Charter Elementary FSU Campus. His employment has been immediately suspended.
