The Adams County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 23-year-old man who is accused of stabbing his grandmother. On March 14, 2024, ACSO received a report of a male who stabbed his grandma and fled the scene in the 2600 block of West Kuhn Road in Othello while still armed with a knife. The victim was transported to an area hospital by personal vehicle.
Deputies responded and located the suspect with the assistance of family members. ACSO says deputies gave 23-year-old Dario Ochoa multiple directives which he refused to follow. K9 Nado was used to safely take Dario into custody. K9 Nado also found corroborating evidence a short distance away, according to ACSO.
Dario was transported to Othello Community Hospital for medical assistance before being booked in jail for suspicion of assault in the first degree.
