The Absecon Police Department is investigating a shots-fired incident and one man is in custody. APD reports that officers responded to the US Route 30 motel corridor for a report of shots fired around 10:30 p.m. on June 14, 2024.
At the scene, officers found evidence of a shooting. Officers immediately began searching for potential victims. Following an investigation and review of surveillance footage, APD says it apprehended a suspect in this incident.
23-year-old Desmon A. Wilson was arrested and charged with related weapons offenses. APD says there is no evidence to suggest there are any victims related to the shooting. No other details are available at this time.
