According to the Chicago Police Department, a man has been arrested and charged in connection to the March 2017 murder of a 24-year-old male. On March 17, 2017, a 24-year-old man was fatally shot in the 10200 block of South Calumet. Authorities arrested 30-year-old Darell Cobbins in the 16500 block of South Kedzie in Markham, Illinois on November 14, 2023.

Cobbins was taken into custody and charged with one count of first-degree murder. Cobbins is scheduled to have a detention hearing on November 16, 2023.
