Update – The Portland Police Bureau has identified the victim of a recent shooting in the Montavilla neighborhood. PPB says the victim is 18-year-old Jamirion Smith-Belhumeur of Portland. The family is requesting privacy at this time. The Medical Examiner concluded that Smith-Belhumeur died of homicide by gunshot wounds.
Original Story – The Portland Police Bureau is investigating a fatal shooting in the Montavilla neighborhood. According to a news release, East Precinct officers responded to reports of a shooting around Northeast 93rd Avenue and Northeast Glisan Street around 4:25 p.m. on March 25, 2024. At the scene, responding officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. At this time, no arrests have been made and no one has been detained. The Homicide Unit responded to the scene to investigate. No other details are available at this time.
