The Stamford Police Department has arrested a man for arson. SPD reports that officers and members of the Stamford Fire Department responded to a residential fire at 44 Hearthstone Court.
The victim called authorities and said they were involved in a dispute with Dylan Marshall. The victim claimed that the altercation centered around a cell phone and Marshall allegedly said something about burning down the house.
When the victim arrived at 44 Hearthstone Court, they discovered the residence engulfed in flames. At the scene, officers took the suspect into custody. Marshall is charged with Arson in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, and Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree.
SPD confirms that the house was vacant at the time, but it sustained significant damage. Marshall is being held on a bond of $1.5 million.
