The New Orleans Police Department is currently investigating a homicide that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday. NOPD reports that the incident occurred at the intersection of I-10 Service Road and Crowder Boulevard.

Around 1:23 a.m., Seventh District officers responded to a call for a possible hit-and-run. At the scene, responding officers found an unresponsive man who was pronounced deceased. NOPD says the victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
