The Culpeper Police Department has arrested two brothers following a violent knife assault in the 600 block of Mountain View Drive. CPD reports that its officers responded to UVA Hospital Culpeper Medical Center for an adult suffering from non-life-threatening laceration injuries around 2:33 a.m. on July 28, 2024.
Officers determined that the assault occurred in the 600 block of Mountain View Drive. Officers and detectives responded to the scene to investigate. As a result of the investigation, CPD charged 28-year-old Armando Paz Cinto and 26-year-old Samuel Paz Cinto with Felony Malicious Wounding by Mob.
The bothers are being held at the Culpeper County Jail without bond. CPD believes the victim and brothers are known to each other. The victim was reportedly drinking alcohol with Samuel at the brothers’ apartment.
When Armando returned home, an argument ensued between Armando and the victim. It escalated into a minor physical confrontation that ended when the victim left. The brothers allegedly followed the victim outside and Armando physically struck the victim.
The victim lost consciousness. When he woke up, he found that he had suffered laceration injuries to his body. The victim returned home before being transported to an area hospital by private vehicle.
