One person is dead following a shooting inside the Columbia Mall. The Howard County Police Department is on the scene and investigating the fatal shooting. HCPD says one person was shot dead during an altercation inside the mall.

There is no indication of an active shooter at this time. It is not known whether anyone is in custody. HCPD will provide updates when available.
