The Rochester Police Department is investigating a violent, armed home invasion robbery on Meigs Street. Around 5:40 p.m., officers responded to the area of 450 Meigs Street for a report of a robbery.

At the scene, officers learned that two suspects wearing masks had entered the victim’s residence. One suspect allegedly struck the victim in the head with an unknown object. The second suspect was armed with a handgun and pointed it at the victim.

The suspect took multiple items from the residence before fleeing on foot. The victim attempted to located the suspects after they left, but those attempts were unsuccessful. The victim received medical treatment at the scene.

No one is in custody at this time.
