According to the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, a Kansas City man has been charged in the November 21, 2023 fatal shooting and wounding. Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced that Wayne A. Hunt is facing Murder 2nd Degree, Assault 1st Degree, and two counts of Armed Criminal Action.

Court records say that Kansas City police responded to a reported shooting on November 21, 2023. At the scene, police found a female victim suffering from gunshot wounds and a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. The wounded victim was able to identify the defendant as the shooter.
