A person was shot on Virginia Avenue in Natchitoches, Louisiana on Thursday evening. The Natchitoches Police Department is currently investigating the shooting. NPD reports that its officers responded to the 500 block of Virginia Avenue for gunshots in the area just before 5 p.m. on July 25.

At the scene, responding NPD officers found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided medical aid until the victim could be transported to a hospital in Caddo Parish.
