The Kent Police Department has announced the arrests of two more suspects in the death of 13-year-old Matthiew Stavkovy. KPD says Stavkovy was shot at the Turnkey Park in Kent on July 16, 2024.

On July 22, 2024, KPD detectives and Valley SWAT arrested an 18-year-old Kent man for the murder. Detectives say they identified two additional suspects in the murder. On July 25, 2024 just before 4 p.m., KPD detectives and VSWAT responded to a residence in Covington where two suspects were found.

Both suspects surrendered and were arrested without incident. The suspects are described as a 19-year-old and a 16-year-old. KPD’s Detective Unit says the investigation is ongoing and all parties involved will be held responsible.
