The Baltimore County Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a fatal shooting on July 1, 2024. BCPD Homicide Detectives arrested 27-year-old Deandre Stokes for the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Jamel Nation.

Around 10 p.m. on July 1, officers responded to the 7700 block of Gough Street for a shots fired call. At the scene, officers found an adult male outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim, Jamel Nation, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Stokes is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond. Stokes is charged with First-Degree Murder and other charges.
