A 59-year-old man is behind bars after allegedly breaking into a residence. WCSO reports that deputies responded to a home in the area of West Huffaker Lane following a report of a residential burglary around 9 p.m. on July 22, 2024.
At the scene, responding deputies spoke to the homeowner who reported waking up to find an unknown man lying on their bed and groping them. When the homeowner confronted the intruder, the man fled from the residence.
Deputies obtained a description of the suspect and began searching for him. Evidence of force entry was discovered. Deputies found the suspect, 59-year-old Daniel Dee, hidden in foliage on the victim’s property.
Dee was booked into the Washoe County Detention Facility on charges of Home Invasion – Sexually Motivate, Residential Burglary, Open/Gross Lewdness, Possess Schedule I or II Controlled Substance Less than 14 Grams, Use or Possess Drug Paraphernalia, and Arrest of Probationer for Violation of Condition of Probation.
