West Baton Rouge Parish Deputies searching for attempted murder suspect

Update – The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the shooting in the Rebelle Lane area of Port Allen. The Sheriff’s Office reports that further investigation indicated that a female accomplice was present with Julius Knox Jr. during the incident.

The woman, 23-year-old Madelyn Roshto, was arrested in Baton Rouge on the night of the incident. Knox turned himself in. Both are in custody at this time. Knox is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and Armed Robbery.

Roshto is charged with Principal to Attempted First Degree Murder and Principal to Armed Robbery.

 

Original – Authorities are searching for a murder suspect on Tuesday night. The West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that its deputies responded to Rebelle Lane for a shooting investigation around 7 p.m.

At the scene, deputies found a victim suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. WBRSO says it was determined that 23-year-old Julius Knox Jr. was the suspect in the shooting.

At this time, Knox is wanted for Armed Robbery and Attempted First Degree Murder. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call WBRSO at 225-343-9234 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP.
