Update – Birmingham Police have obtained a warrant for 22-year-old Quajae Dasion Ellis Ware in connection to a fatal shooting at 121 Roebuck Plaza Drive. The shooting claimed the life of Richard Allen Judkins.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Murder for Ware. He is being held at the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.

 

Original – The Birmingham Police Department is currently investigating a homicide in the 100 block of Roebuck Plaza Drive. Around 4:45 p.m., a citizen arrived at East Precinct and informed a Patrol Sergeant that he had just shot someone.

Officers responded to the Murphy USA and entered the business. Once inside, responding officers found an adult male victim lying on the floor unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. BPD believes a physical altercation occurred inside the business. The suspect shot the victim before turning himself in to authorities.
