The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a 29-year-old Highlands Ranch man in connection to the shooting of a roommate. DCSO reports that its deputies responded to a home in the 9900 block of Aftonwood Street in Highlands Ranch for a report of gunshots just after 9 p.m. last night.

Deputies learned that the roommates of the residence were involved in a disturbance outside the home. At one point, the suspect grabbed a gun. One of the victims was driving away from the residence when he heard gunshots and saw the suspect in the street.

The suspect left the residence before being taken into custody without incident. 29-year-old Cesar Olang-Puig was booked into the Douglas County Detention Facility on charges of Criminal Attempted Homicide, Illegal Discharge of a Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct Discharging A Weapon.
