Three juveniles arrested for causing $15,000 in damage to Greer Elementary School grounds

Three juveniles have been arrested for allegedly causing approximately $15,000 in damage to school grounds. The Galt Police Department reports that officers responded to a burglary alarm at Greer Elementary School around 3:10 a.m. on July 11, 2024.

As officers were traveling to the scene, surveillance video showed three suspects on campus. Once officers reached the scene, two suspects fled on foot. The third suspect was found at a nearby residence.

All three male juveniles were detained and taken into custody. GPD says it was determined that approximately $15,000 worth of damage was done to school grounds. Two juveniles were transported to the Sacramento County Juvenile Detention Facility.

They were booked on charges of Burglary, Felony Vandalism, Resisting Arrest, Providing a False Name to Officers, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol. The third suspect was cited and released to his parents for Burglary and Resisting Arrest.
