El Paso Police says weekend aggravated robbery at McDonald’s drive-through leads to SWAT response

According to a press release from El Paso Police, an aggravated robbery over the weekend led to a SWAT response. Just before 1:30 AM on November 25, 2023, officers responded to a report of an aggravated robbery at the drive-through of the McDonald’s at 14230 Edgemere. Police learned that two men had taken a man’s truck at gunpoint. Responding officers located the stolen vehicle in the 3200 block of Emerald Point.

El Paso Police say the officers spotted 17-year-old Billy Christian run from the truck and enter a home in the 14200 block of Honey Point. El Paso Police Department’s SWAT and Crisis Management Teams responded to assist. Eventually, Charles exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident.

Investigators say they identified 17-year-old Elijai Koroma as the other individual in the armed robbery later that afternoon. Koroma was also taken into custody. Christian and Koroma are charged with Aggravated Robbery which is a First-Degree Felony.
