Two men charged in mid-October fatal shooting of Quentin Cantrell

The Gwinnett County Police Department has provided an update in a fatal shooting in Buford in mid-October. According to a new release, North Precinct officers were dispatched to a residence on Allen Street in Buford in reference to a person shot before 3 AM on October 16. Upon arrival, police found the body of an adult male inside a parked vehicle. The victim was transported to the hospital where he later passed away. Authorities identified the victim as 35-year-old Quentin Cantrell of Buford.

Gwinnett Police Homicide detectives announced charges against 33-year-old Rodericus Jackson of Buford. Jackson is facing charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault. According to Gwinnett County Police, Jackson’s whereabouts are currently unknown. Authorities have also charged 46-year-old Demetrick Davis of Versailles, Kentucky. Davis is facing charges of Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.

Authorities say Davis was taken into custody by the Lexington Police Department on November 26.
