The Cranston Police Department has announced the arrest of two suspects in connection to the stabbing of a 15-year-old and the death of a 21-year-old. CPD officers received an emergency call about a large disturbance in the area of Oak Street at Trainor Street around 12:39 a.m. on July 5, 2024.

At the scene, officers found a 15-year-old boy suffering from a stab wound to the back. The alleged stabber, Destiny Torres, got into a grey Honda Accord being operated by a man identified as Edwin Torres.

Additional officers were arriving on the scene as the Accord was involved in a disturbance with Isaac Vasquez. Officers say they saw Torres intentionally strike Vasquez with his vehicle. The collision caused fatal injuries to Vasquez who was pronounced deceased.
