The Greece Police Department is investigating a vehicle collision that left a 7-year-old child in critical condition. GPD reports that its officers responded to a serious injury accident around 3:04 p.m. in the 1400 block of West Ridge Road.

The accident involved a UHaul truck. GPD says officers learned that a 7-year-old Greece resident had been struck by the truck while he tried to cross the roadway. The accident is still being investigated.

The child was taken to Strong Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
