The Elgin Police Department says an adult female victim is dead and an adult male subject is in custody in a domestic-related incident. EPD reports that its officers responded to the 1300 block of Fleetwood Drive around 11:57 a.m. on July 2, 2024.

At the scene, officers found an adult female victim suffering from injuries. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is being withheld at this time.

Major Investigations Division detectives are investigating the domestic-related incident. EPD confirmed that a male subject is in custody. No other details are available. Anyone with information is asked to call EPD at 847-289-2600.
