A Wetmore man has been arrested for multiple child sex crimes. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation reports that its agents arrested 51-year-old Robert Motto Jr. around 11:10 a.m. on July 2, 2024.

Motto was wanted on a warrant for four counts of Aggravated Indecent Liberties with a Child, Rape, and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Sodomy. In early April, an investigation was initiated by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office after a child disclosed sexual abuse.

NCSO requested assistance from the KBI which says additional allegations of sex crimes were uncovered during the investigation. Motto was booked into the Nemaha County Jail with a bond of $500,000.
