The Minot Police Department has found a body in the search for Mark R. McMillan. At this time, investigators believe the body is that of 36-year-old Mark Ramon McMillan who has been missing since early April.

MPD reports that it carried out a search warrant in the missing person investigation of McMillan around 10:30 a.m. in Southeast Minot. During the search, a body was found in the basement of the building.

The body has been taken to Grand Forks for an autopsy. The Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the victim. MPD confirms it is investigating the incident as a murder.
