Tarrant Police searching for Jadan O’Neal Cooper following shots fired incident and vehicle pursuit

The Tarrant Police Department said in a social media post that it is looking for Jadan O’Neal Cooper following a “shots fired” report. TPD says Cooper was charged in 2022 for possessing a stolen vehicle.

Around 2:30 p.m. on June 28, 2024, TPD officers responded to a residence in the 1400 block of Sloan Avenue for a report of “shots fired”. Officers were dispatched to the same residence twice within the last hour prior to this call. At the scene, an officer observed a vehicle run a stop sign in front of the residence.

The officer attempted a traffic stop. The driver stopped and allowed someone to exit the front passenger seat at the reported residence. Then, the driver reportedly fled the scene. TPD says an NCIC check indicated that a felony pursuit involving the vehicle occurred in a different state.

The Sergeant pursued the vehicle until it wrecked and overturned alongside East Lake Boulevard in Birmingham. TPD reports that the vehicle was stolen out of Memphis, Tennessee. Officers were unable to locate the driver.

However, TPD has identified the driver as Jadan O’Neal Cooper who is charged with Receiving Stolen Property in the First Degree, Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage, Eluding a Law Enforcement Officer, Reckless Endangerment, and Reckless Driving.

At this time, Cooper is not in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the assigned investigator at 205-948-3218.
