According to a social media post from the Springfield Police Department, a 23-year-old male has been arrested as part of a sex abuse investigation. Earlier this month, Springfield Police received information about a possible inappropriate relationship between a Springfield School District employee and a student. After the initial report was taken, detectives began conducting interviews and collecting evidence.

On November 26, 2023, detectives met with and interviewed 23-year-old Cyrus Ullmann in cooperation with the Springfield School District. Detectives developed probable cause to arrest Ullmann on two counts of Sexual Abuse in the 2nd Degree. Ullmann was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail.
