The Sacramento Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday evening. SPD reports that its officers responded to the 8100 block of Cucamonga Avenue for reports of a shooting around 5 p.m. on June 21, 2024.

At the scene, responding officers found an adult male victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to assume control of the investigation. No arrests have been made. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will identify the victim at a later time.
