Monterrius Woods arrested on four counts of Capital Murder in quadruple homicide in November

A 20-year-old man is behind bars in connection to a quadruple homicide in Mississippi. The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office announced on social media that arrest warrants had been issued for Monterrius Woods of Tunica.

Woods is charged with the shooting death of 23-year-old Steven Burts, 25-year-old Tednequa Moore, Moore’s unborn child, and the death of 24-year-old Deshun Isabell. TCSO says Isabell died from injuries sustained during a car crash that occurred on November 10, 2023 on Casino Center Boulevard in Robinsonville.

Burts and Moore were fatally shot. Woods is charged with four counts of Capital Murder, four counts of Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, one count of Drive-by Shooting, and one count of Shooting Into a Motor Vehicle.

Woods is in custody at the DeSoto County Jail on unreleased charges. TCSO says additional charges and more arrests are forthcoming.
