A suspect has been indicted in a triple homicide in Portland’s Portsmouth neighborhood in March 2023. The Portland Police Bureau reports that Homicide Unit detectives developed Omar Mohammed Osman as a suspect in the triple homicide.
Osman was in custody at the MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility on unrelated charges. On March 10, 2024, the case was presented to a grand jury by the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
As a result, Osman has been indicted on six counts of Murder in the First Degree and four counts of Murder in the Second Degree. Osman is also facing seven counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, two counts of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, seven counts of Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and one count of Animal Abuse.
Detectives are still looking for information about two additional suspects who may be involved in the case. PPB says the victims of the homicide were 17-year-old Eskender Tamra, 19-year-old Babu Daudi, and 20-year-old Patrick D. Johnson.
