A man calling himself “Manny Sierra” is behind bars after allegedly sexually assaulting a woman during a massage and chakra healing session. The Palm Springs Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying any additional victims of Regaberto Lopez.

PSPD reports that a 19-year-old female reported an incident involving a man calling himself Manny Sierra during a massage and chakra healing session. PSPD says the man claimed the victim had deep trauma blocking her healing.

The victim disclosed a past traumatic event causing Manny’s behavior to become inappropriate and sexually aggressive. The female victim later reported the incident to PSPD leading to an investigation.

PSPD says it was determined that Manny Sierra was actually Regaberto Lopez who is a registered sex offender with previous convictions for sexual battery. Lopez has been working as a massage therapist for over a decade using the alias Manny Sierra.

On June 11, 2024, Lopez was arrested at his residence. He was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility on charges of Sexual Battery, Sexual Penetration by Force, Sexual Battery on an Unconscious Person x2, and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
