A person has been shot in Suffolk, Virginia. The Suffolk Police Department reports that the Emergency Communications Center received a notification of a shooting in the 200 block of Pitchkettle Road around 1:24 a.m. on June 19, 2024.

Officers responded to the scene where they found an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was treated at the scene by Suffolk Fire and Rescue before being transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
