Update – The suspect is in custody.

Original – The Washington City Police Department is searching for a transgender male following the death of two people. WCPD reports that officers were informed of a shots fired incident at 1039 East Chinook Drive in Washington City around 7:00 p.m. on June 18, 2024.

At the scene, WCPD officers entered the residence through the front door and found two deceased individuals with gunshot wounds. WCPD has only identified the victims as one male and one female.

No other victims or suspects were located. WCPD is investigating the incident as a double homicide. WCPD says it has identified Collin Troy Bailey as a suspect in the double homicide. WCPD reports that Collin is a transgender male transitioning into a female and goes by the name Mia Bailey.

Bailey was last seen leaving the area in a yellow 2014 Kia Soul with Utah License plate U069GF. Bailey’s whereabouts are unknown at this time, but they should be considered armed and dangerous.
