The Tarrant Police Department has announced an arrest in connection to a robbery near Bama Hot Dogs in the 1600 block of Pinson Valley Parkway. TPD reports that around 12:30 p.m. on June 17, 2024, officers responded to a robbery in the area with reported injuries.
The victim informed police that a black male suspect forcefully took her cell phone. The victim fought to keep the phone leading to minor injuries. TPD officers determined that the robbery occurred near the Shell service station nearby.
TPD says the victim did not speak English, but a witness provided sufficient translations and a video of the suspect running from the scene. The video contained a clear image of the suspect’s face.
A male resembling the suspect was found in the area of Tarrant City Hall and Kessler’s Pharmacy although the man had changed clothes. The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for Robbery in the Third Degree.
TPD says the phone was found to be destroyed.
