Update – SPD has confirmed the victim has succumbed to their injuries. This is now a homicide investigation.
Original – On Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department responded to a shooting on Marin Avenue. SPD reports that there is a heavy police presence in the 7800 block of Marin Avenue for a shooting investigation.
Locals are asked to seek alternate routes until the matter can be resolved. In an update, SPD confirmed that one gunshot wound victim was found at the scene and transported to an area hospital.
No other details are available at this time.
