Downtown Seattle gunfight leaves one man with gunshot wound to the leg

One man has been shot during a gunfight in downtown Seattle. The Seattle Police Department reports that its detectives are investigating after a man was shot during a gunfight in downtown Seattle.

Around 2 a.m. on June 10, 2024, SPD officers responded to reports of a shooting and crowds fleeing a parking lot near 2nd Avenue South and South Main Street. At the scene, officers found evidence of a shooting including damage to a sports car.

Multiple shell casings were also found at the scene. All involved parties fled the scene. SPD determined that gunfire erupted in the parking lot and more shooting occurred as vehicles fled to the east.

A handgun was left at the scene and seized by authorities. While SPD was investigating, a 22-year-old male with a gunshot wound arrived at the Harborview Medical Center. The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. At this time, the victim is in stable condition.

No suspects have been arrested. Detectives with SPD’s Gun Violence Reduction Unit have assumed control of the investigation.
