DC Police arrest second suspect in March 2023 double fatal shooting

DC Metropolitan Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to a triple shooting that killed two and injured one. MPD reports that Seventh District officers responded to the 2700 block of Bruce Place Southeast for a report of a shooting around 7:44 p.m. on March 7, 2023.

At the scene, responding officers found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. 23-year-old Dana Faulkner passed away at the scene. The second victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time later, officers responded to the intersection of Wheeler Road and Mississippi Avenue Southeast for a report of an unconscious person. At the scene, 15-year-old Abdul Fuller was found with critical gunshot wounds.

Fuller was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on March 9, 2023. Detectives say Fuller was injured in the shooting on Bruce Place. On December 21, 2024, authorities arrested a 19-year-old man who was charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).

On June 11, 2024, Florida and Caribbean Fugitive Task Force members arrested a 17-year-old man who is also charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated). The 17-year-old will be extradited to the District of Columbia.
