The Newport News Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting. NNPD reports that officers were dispatched to North Trellis Court in reference to a shooting. At the scene, officers found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
It is believed that the victim’s injuries are non-life-threatening. Another adult male victim was found with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Both victims were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The second victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. Detectives responded to initiate an investigation. Forensics are on the scene. No other details are available at this time.
