The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a death at the In Town Suites at 4210 West FM 1960. Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reports on social media that Homicide Investigators responded to the motel on December 8, 2023.
50-year-old Jessica Perry and 49-year-old Jason Meinelt were staying at the location. HCSO says Perry supposedly became unresponsive and was pronounced deceased. Meinelt reportedly cooperated with authorities but denied having any responsibility for Perry’s death.
Initially, the cause of death was not immediately known. Sheriff Gonzalez said that the follow-up investigation indicated that Perry died from blunt force trauma. A murder warrant was issued for the arrest of 49-year-old Jason Meinelt on June 6, 2024.
Meinelt has been arrested and booked into jail.
