The Pomona Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting in the 1400 block of West Ninth Street. PPD says preliminary reports suggest that a suspect fired a handgun leading to an officer-involved shooting.
No officers were injured during the incident. The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he is in stable condition. PPD says a firearm was recovered at the scene. PPD asks locals to avoid the area for the time being.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office is responding to the scene to assume the investigation.
