In Banning, California, a suspect has been arrested in connection to a shooting on Monday. The Banning Police Department reports that officers responded to the 700 block of North Hargrave Street for a gunshot victim around 12:36 a.m. on June 3, 2024.
At the scene, officers found an adult male victim on the sidewalk suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, who was later identified as 18-year-old Darnell Lovings, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
A second victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. BPD says officers and detectives managed to identify a suspect. At this time, the suspect’s identity is being protected due to his age.
The suspect was arrested and booked into Riverside County Juvenile Hall for Murder and Attempted Murder. No other details are available at this time.
