Elkhart Police investigating double shooting of two juveniles at McDonald’s

Two juveniles were shot at McDonald’s in Elkhart. The Elkhart Police Department is investigating the non-fatal shooting. EPD reports that the shooting occurred late yesterday evening at the drive-thru at the McDonald’s at 130 North Main Street.

EPD officers responded to the Elkhart General Hospital for a shooting victim around 10:06 p.m. on June 2, 2024. A 16-year-old female victim reported she was a passenger in a vehicle at the McDonald’s thrive-thru when the vehicle was hit by gunfire.

The victim was struck. The driver transported her to an area hospital where she was treated for injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. A second victim arrived at Goshen Hospital. A 15-year-old male victim was also struck at the McDonald’s drive-thru when he exited a vehicle.

The second victim also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time.
