The Stockton Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting that occurred just before 5 a.m. on March 22, 2024. On that day, SPD responded to the 4100 block of Logan Lane to carry out a welfare check on a report of a person down.
At the scene, responding officers found an adult female in her 20s suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Homicide detectives responded and assumed control of the investigation.
On May 28, 2024, SPD detectives announced that an arrest warrant had been obtained for 23-year-old Francisco Ramirez. On May 23, Ramirez was contacted by Border Patrol officials and arrested. Ramirez has been booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide.
