Update – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office announced that Ashley Parmeley has now been charged with Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action in connection to the death of her 9-year-old daughter. It is alleged that Parmeley fatally shot her daughter at an address in St. Francois County on May 28, 2024 before driving her body to the Festus Police Department.
Original – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest in connection to the death of a two-year-old boy. JCSO Sheriff Dave Marshak announced a charge against a suspect in a double homicide investigation.
36-year-old Ashley Parmeley is charged with one count of Murder 2nd Degree. The charge stems from the death of her two-year-old son. The victim was found unresponsive in a body of water in the 4800 block of US Highway 67 near DeSoto on Tuesday morning.
Parmeley is currently housed in the Jefferson County Jail without bond. The investigation into her nine-year-old daughter’s death is ongoing. Investigators say they intend to apply for further charges. No other details are available at this time.
