Tyler Wilson sentenced to prison for murder of Jatavis Scott at Club Twenty3

A Columbia man has been sentenced to prison in connection to a fatal shooting at a club in the Manheim Township. The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office reports that 30-year-old Tyler Wilson was sentenced to 25 to 50 years.

Wilson was convicted of third-degree murder and other charges in connection to the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Jatavis Scott in the parking lot of the former Club Twenty3 on March 19, 2022. Authorities say the shooting stemmed from a fight.

The Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office says evidence showed that a verbal argument began between the parties inside the club in the 1700 block of New Holland Pike. The argument escalated and turned physical.

Security moved the parties outside. Wilson and Scott began fighting. The individuals were separated before moving back toward each other. Video evidence showed a flash of light coming from Wilson’s arm. It was consistent with a muzzle flash from a firearm.

Evidence and testimony showed that two shots were fired and Wilson was within feet of the victim at the time. The victim was transported to an area hospital before being pronounced deceased.
