A man is behind bars after being arrested for unlawful sexual contact involving a minor. The Virgin Islands Police Department reported that an adult female and a minor female arrived at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station to file a police report about unlawful sexual contact around 7:35 p.m. on May 23, 2024.
The alleged unlawful sexual contact reportedly involved the minor and an adult relative. A Domestic Violence Unit detective investigation revealed that Adrian Pinto allegedly began inappropriately touching the minor victim a short time after moving into the house.
VIPD says Pinto had moved out of the victim’s house before the complaint was made. On May 25, 2024, members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau contacted and arrested Adrian Pinto. The 28-year-old was arrested for Unlawful Sexual Contact in the First Degree.
